It is the time to understand how to succeed in the job interview so that you are ever closer to your goal of obtaining your dream job. Here are some tips which help you in getting your dream job.

Do some R&D on Job Opportunity and on the Employer

Success in a job interview starts with a solid foundation of knowledge on the job-seeker’s part. You should understand the employer, the requirements of the job. The more research you conduct, the more you’ll understand the employer, and the better you’ll be able to answer interview questions

Dressed up for the Job

It is important to know what to wear in an interview and to be well groomed as well. Casual dress up doesn’t allow you to enter for an interview. Whether you wear suit or something less formal depends on the company culture and the position you are seeking. If possible before going for interview while doing R&D you can call to find out about the company dress code.


Arrive on Time for the Interview

Plan to arrive on time or a few minutes early. Late arrival for a job interview is never excusable.


Have Everything Neat, Organized, and Accessible:

You can be certain that, within the first few minutes of your meeting, your interviewer will ask for a copy of your updated resume.Everything you need should be neatly organized and readily accessible: You should be able to pull out your resume, references, and even a pen on command. The less you have to rifle through your bag, the better.

Make Good First Impressions

Whether your initial meeting is face-to-face, over the phone or via the Internet, you do not have time to waste. It pays for you to understand how people make their first judgment and what you can do to be in control of the results.

Be Authentic and focused

Once the interview starts, the key to success is the quality and delivery of your responses. Your goal should always be authenticity, responding truthfully to interview questions. At the same time, your goal is to get to the next step, so you’ll want to provide focused responses that showcase your skills, experience, and fit — with the job and the employer.

Remember Body Language

Your body language can have a significant impact on how you’re perceived, and so you have to be aware of it from the moment you step through the door. That’s right, you’re being judged even before you’ve uttered your first word. For eg:

  • Do: Make eye contact
  • Do: Use your hands
  • Do: Smile
  • Avoid body tics
  • Don’t fold your arms
  • Don’t: Touch your face 


Ask Insightful Questions

Asking the right questions at an interview is important for two reasons:

  • First, when done correctly, the questions you ask confirm your qualifications as a candidate for the position.
  • Second, you are interviewing the employer just as much as the employer is interviewing you. This is your opportunity to find out if this is an organization where you want to work.

Dont appear desperate :

When you interview with the “please, please hire me” approach, you appear desperate and less confident. Reflect the three Cs during the interview: cool, calm and confidence. You know you can do the job; make sure the interviewer believes you can, too.

Thank Interviewer

Thanking the hiring manager for his or her time isn’t just polite — it also demonstrates a sincere interest in the position and the company. Writing thank-note shortly after the interview will not get you the job offer, but doing so will certainly give you an edge over any of the other finalists who did not bother to send thank-you’s.

Always conduct yourself as if you are determined to get the job. Never close the door on an opportunity. It is better to be free to choose from a number of jobs rather than only one.

    Dear Sir,
    I have to employ a person who is working in another company. His joinig date 8th of June in 2011 in a pvt ltd company.
    He has completed 4 years in employment and 8th month is running in 5th year.
    He has completed 261 total days – 10 days leave – weekly off = 198 days working.
    After resigning need to work for 15 days as notice period.
    Will he be eligible for Gratuity?
    Please advice.
